About me
I believe in stories. Our lives are just the stories we tell ourselves and our reality is made up of the stories we believe in.
Everyone has a story to tell, and all stories are important. If I can communicate a story—on behalf of a person, organization, a brand, or otherwise—and get that story just right, to where all the truth and beautiful meanings sing though to the audience, then I consider myself successful in fulfilling my life’s purpose.
I graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in English from Texas A&M University in 2023. But even before then my whole life has been guided by the arts.
Growing up I took very quickly to all kinds of art—singing, dancing, drawing, and writing. I wrote my first song on the guitar at the age of 5 and I have kept a journal since the age of nine (now my bookshelf has a nice little section where I can revisit all the joys and embarrassments of my past).
With a mother who is a social worker and a father who actively volunteers and helps others (forgive me, I am very proud, but he even helped get Marley Fest started in Austin back in the 90s) I always knew that when I grew up, I wanted to help others.
My two loves of art and helping intersected in the study of storytelling and media. As I have grown personally and professionally, I have learned that multimedia journalism is a venue I can take to advocate for others and carry on my family values, while also engaging in my passions.
On this website you will find examples of all the kinds of stories I have been trusted with telling, through all the various mediums. I hope you find what you are looking for here.
Thank you for reading!😊
